Villa Maria College - Kia Toa Building

This building was designed with a combination of general multi-subject teaching spaces alongside rooms for food technology, textiles, computer labs and AV recording. With the classrooms surrounding shared spaces, it enables a variety of student work groups to be accommodated. Large, glazed openings allow spaces to be feel light and inviting, while shading, a heated floor, and natural ventilation strategies were employed to create a healthy and comfortable place for teaching and learning.
