Te Puna o Whakaehu

This new community pool facility in Mosgiel was designed and built in collaboration with McCoy Wixen Architects, Powell Fenwick Consultants, and Cook Brothers Construction. It features an accessible 25 metre lane pool, learners pool, leisure pool, hydrotherapy pool and spa. The design of the pool depicts the narrative of the Taniwha Matamata with the design elements cast into the concrete, printed on the glass front, and used on signage and ceiling design. The building uses a simple plan and form to assist with ease of operation and maintenance.
