Kaikorai Primary School

Creating a large outdoor environment was important for the redevelopment of Kaikorai Primary School. This was achieved with two new buildings. The long teaching wing is divided into three hubs with 12 inter-connected classrooms, multi-use room and school hall. It extends alongside a new outdoor area with basketball courts and playground. A terrace was created at the southern end, overlooking an enlarged sports field. At the main entrance is the new administration, resource, and library building. The library included a small outdoor play area on one side, and a landscaped and shaded deck on the other.
