Ashburton Intermediate School

The design for redevelopment of Ashburton Intermediate School involved creating a new heart to the school with buildings surrounding a central landscaped courtyard. The redevelopment was over multiple stages and included buildings with new general teaching and specialist teaching spaces for hard and soft material, food, art, and science. The buildings are designed to allow flexibility in teaching and learning with spaces of varying sizes to accommodate small groups, traditional class groups, and larger co-teaching groups.
